Custom Metal Art Made In Montana
Plasma Cutters Make Precision, Affordable And Creative Works Of Metal
By Damien Andrews
Have you ever come across an exceedingly detailed metal sculpture or piece of wall art and asked yourself: how did they cut the little details into that metal? More than likely, they used a tool called a plasma cutter. Metal wall art has been popular for centuries, but only recently has it become so precise and affordable for everyone. Newly designed plasma cutters have become more user friendly, putting welders and metal craftsmen into a whole new ballpark of metal art design and sales.
Metal art designers, using plasma cutters, can cut any shape out of a variety of metal materials like; aluminum, steel and stainless steel. There is a limit to the thickness of the metal that can be cut, nothing thicker than 5/8". The most alluring benefit of custom metal art or metal wall art is that you can have just about any design you can think of cut into or out of metal. As long as it can be scanned into a computer, it can probably be cut into beautiful, long lasting, metal wall art.
If you have a favorite piece of art that you would like to see featured throughout your home's décor, you can easily have it made into custom made switch plate covers, outlet covers, metal tables, metal chairs, even on ranch signs, or welcome signs. Other household items you can have made are metal wall borders, metal shelf brackets, metal key holders and metal coat racks. And don't forget your truck. There are some really rugged looking custom metal headache racks being made by these highly talented, plasma cutter-using, metal artists.

Rustic, western metal wall art and sculptures are very popular in Montana, as well as in the southwest. I found a couple of websites online featuring metal wall art made in Montana. One of them is located in Miles City, Montana: Creative Metal Works. Metal designer, Becky Zawada, has been making custom metal art, using a plasma cutter, since 2004. You can see some of her metal art designs and metal décor at this link: http://www.beckyscreativemetalworks.com/
You can have metal art shipped to you very easily, so don't discount using an out-of-state metal art designer to make your custom metal art. Good communication is important when working with any type of designer. Having photos or drawings of what you want is critical to a successful design project. Building contractors would do well to find a good plasma cutting designer for their next new home construction project.
