Some suggested uses for the Photoshop Clone Stamp tool
Repair lens dust spots on photographs • Add grass to barren areas • Add fruit to trees • Remove aircraft from photographs • Remove people from photographs • Repair cracks in old photographs • Lighten or remove undesirable facial shadowing • Remove time/date stamps from photographs • Quickly duplicate items such as eggs, basketballs or crates • Remove undesirable facial age lines, freckles, scars and moles.
See the two photographs below for sample results quickly achieved with the Clone Stamp tool.
I highly recommend taking ten minutes with any photograph and playing with the Photoshop Clone Stamp tool. Try different brushes and styles of brushes, and try using the Airbrush capabilities. Note the constant relationship between the ALT click and the repair click. I promise it will be ten minutes well spent.
Pro Tip: When you're done making Photoshop Clone Stamp tool repairs to your photograph, use the Blur tool (R) around any rough edges for a nice, professional finished look.
Note the guinea fowl in the front left corner of the photograph, and also the white spot on the face of the horse next to the black horse.
The front left guinea fowl and the horse's white facial spot have both been removed using the Photoshop Clone Stamp tool. Time to do this job: 2:30.
