Bags To Have Along With You On Your Digital Photography Shoots
The bulk of your digital photography equipment is in your automobile, but that's ¼ mile from the photography location – maybe further. So you'll need a smaller bag to keep the necessary digital photography equipment and accessories handy. A relatively small, soft-sided bag is ideal for this purpose. The bag should be big enough to hold your camera, backup batteries, backup storage card, two extra lenses, a small cleaning kit and your pen and notepad. I chose one that also allowed me to attach my monopod to the outside with two small, quick-detach straps. I highly recommend that this bag have a shoulder strap – that way you can always have it with you and still be snapping photographs.
Pro Tip: Purchase a small amount of dense foam at a furniture repair store or hardware store. Custom cut it to add extra protection to your digital photography bags and cases.
A Photographer's Vest May Be Just What You Need
Most non-professional digital photography buffs don't ever look into getting a photographer's vest. I think this is a mistake. These vests, of which I have three different kinds, are invaluable on many digital photography shoots. Photographer's vests come in all sorts of colors, weights, and with all manner of 'extras.' Basically, they provide the digital photography buff with countless pockets and slots in which to store their digital photography equipment and accessories. Since your digital photography equipment is stored on your upper body, weight and the need for hands, are not concerns at all.
Photographer's vests are available in a broad range of costs. To find the photographer's vest that suits your specific digital photography needs, do a search for "photographer's vests" online. If you're really into digital photography, your new photographer's vest will quickly become one of your must-have-along digital photography accessories. NOTE: avoid photographer's vests with black metal hooks, rings or zippers – they get extremely hot to the touch in the summertime.
As always, when you find a digital photography bag or vest that you like, do some price checking and comparison online. There are vast differences in the prices of digital photography items online. The more you save on one digital photography item, the more digital photography items you can have – for that new bag or vest.
